...an addition or trick to check for idle time or low CPU usage?
I'm thinking of something along the lines of the old IdleTime extension from
UserLand.
I've written a quick-n-dirty script that 'delay launches' startup items, but
I'd like to have them launch when stuffis ain't happenin' (like typing out
this eMail! aRg!)
