Indeed.

And as for an AS method, you will find exactly such a question, and some
great handlers as an answer, in the list archive. I believe it was just
this month (2003-07), but it may have been the month prior to that. Check
there for a similar subject, and you'll find a number of great contributions
and even reported clock timings on various systems.
