Thanks to all who provided input to my dilemma of scripting menus on the right side of the Menu Bar.

Getting me to see that applications in MacOS X... for the most part do not degrade system performance like I... and most of you experienced in MacOS 9 and before.

Now I load Internet Connect at startup, leave it in background and the connect script is within my limits... Jim
