My goodness. Has this thread only been running for three days? It seems
like forever. Chris Page's largely satisfactory first attempt to clarify
and correct some bad terminology in ASLG has blossomed into a major study
involving even more unhelpful terminology such as "binding", "mutable
objects", "primitive data types", "accessing / passing by value",
"implicit entity" etc. I hope the original poster hasn't been put off
AppleScript altogether.... ;-)
