After many sleepless nights of development I am pleased to announce Defaults Manager. Defaults Manager is a developer tool that aims to be the premier editor for the User Defaults (NSUserDefaults) database on Mac OS X. As a developer you can use it while developing your product to edit and view the preferences in your application. Some of Defaults Manager's features include: a simple and intuitive interface, ability to search for any property or value, and a shield against NSUserDefaults' synchronize.

Typically, with NSUserDefaults "...the synchronize method, which is automatically invoked at periodic intervals, keeps the in-memory cache in sync with a user's defaults database." Defaults Manager provides its own cache for the defaults database that is only synchronized through user action. So just in case you delete a domain, or enter a property incorrectly, it won't be automatically synchronized to the defaults database.

As a Mac developer you can use coupon "MACDEVELOPER" to get Defaults Manager for 50% off for the first week (normally Defaults Manager is $35, so that's just $17.50!).

You can find Defaults Manager here:

Note about coupons: To use a coupon:

Launch Defaults Manager.
Select "Buy Defaults Manager..." from the "Defaults Manager" menu.
On the Personal Information page of the purchasing window enter the coupon (lower right corner).
Defaults Manager will be automatically registered upon completion of the purchasing wizard.
Your serial number will be emailed to you for your records.
