(Of course, that was the work of a few seconds in Google.
Disturbingly, however, I knew that it was "Ojibway", not "Obijway",
before Google corrected me. The football quote, by the way, was mostly
researched by my coworker, John Comiskey, a notorious football nut. He
has a database of NFL coaches that he uses for a test file. I gave up
after finding two different attributions.)
I had quite forgotten about the Ojibway 10-year snowshoe hare cycle
until reading that link. Now that I have, I remember learning about it
back in high school biology, not to mention hearing about it from my
dad, an environmental science professor.
