Did you choose "US-English" as the language for installing the OS?
Very good question -- wish I knew (being from the US, I rarely look
seriously at the pop-up possibly dumb), and amazingly the log file I saved
during install does not indicate what type install was done.
The only reason I'm concerned cause languages listed in international
include both English and US English -- I don't even recall seeing "US
English" till 10.2.4.
And things have been VERY funky since 10.2.4 install (silent crashes --
Finder won't force quit properly - forcing reset button restarts) But I've
heard from others who've had this problem, and they're not experiencing the
same instability.
Regardless, choosing US date format - unfortunately yeilds: M/D/YY, this is
what it constantly reverts to.
