I already answered that. It is within the current instantiation of the
AppleScript scripting component. If several scripts share that
instantiation, then it is common to them (e.g. all scripts that execute
during the current run of Script Editor).
The phrase "AppleScript's" is not a misnomer provided you know what
"AppleScript" is - it is that instantiation of the AppleScript script
scripting component. That instantiation maintains state, but that state is
private to this instance, and the instance will die when the current
application releases it (e.g. quits). m.
