Although that being the case, you'd think (hope? wish?) that Apple would
start profiling AppleScript as a language in line (if not on par) with
others.

There's no mention of AppleScript or AppleScript Studio other than a
one-liner under the December 2001 Project Builder release (man, has it
really been that long?)
