Warning: I know of at least three people who have installed beta
II (including me on OS X 10.2.6). All of us have been unable to
save scripts without causing a Script Editor crash. Maybe it
requires OS X 10.3 - the download page (above) doesn't say.
Add another to the list. This is definitely don't bother ware (at
least for OS 10.2.6).
As of 12 am on June 26, the download link is missing from the
Script Editor page. I wonder if someone at WWDC is working on a
fix. ;-)
Yes. We removed the link so it wouldn't mess up anyone else in the meantime.
Yup, figured so.
During the process of attempting to file a bug on SE 2 beta II,
Safari 1.0 (v85) gave me a warning that my session would expire in 10
minutes. I attempted to submit the report within the next minute but
I received the expired session message anyway. I wasn't prepared to
go through the information gathering process again so the bug was
never filed. Lesson learned! Gather all of the necessary info and
save it somewhere else before attempting to file a bug report.
Distractions during the process of gathering pertinent info can cause
an hour to slide by in less than sixty minutes. ;-)
