I don't think I did, but I've been advised myself recently (on this list)
that amputations of another kind might be of use to _me_... and like they
say, monkey see, monkey do... and this is a pretty tough group at times,
you have to admit. It often reminds me of my adolescence.
Plus, I haven't evolved much beyond 'missing link' myself.
I'm sorry. I should have been more diplomatic in my first post...
But then, I shouldn't have to be wasting additional bandwidth with this
either, because as near as I can make out you were mistaken, the
applescript:// protocol does something that Missing Link simply does
not... and was never intended to do.
As for that, as near as I can tell, the applescript:// protocol could -
in effect - be duplicated using suffixed text files and a browser mime
appointed to one's script editor.
There is little new under the sun. The ability to create a browser
protocol in AppleScript has been around at least since Standard Additions
were rolled into the OS. I can't believe the concept has taken so long
to catch on, but clearly somebody "in the core" is starting to take note.
Again, my apologies. For what it's worth, bipolar disorder tends to make
one alternately arrogant and supplicant. You caught me at a bad moment.
