I spoke too soon, it's not quite what I needed - yes the scpt viewer does
let me see the _visible_ part of the script in ResEdit, but what I'm after
is the value of properties and global variables which I can see to a degree
(albeit with a lot of untranslated characters in between) by forcing the
resource to open in the wstr template.
In theory, I could load the script in question from another script and query
its properties, but the very act of loading it to inspect it may alter the
data stored - the quantum physics thingie.
If nobody on the list knows of any other ResEdit or other ways to read the
property values from closed scripts I'll try to modify the scpt template I
DL'd from macscripter. I'd be happy to take any suggestions that might help
me track down this elusive (bug) as it's \1gering my head up.
