Incidentally, while I realise the above was probably a slip of the fingers,
watch out for any confusion between 'run script' (which is an AS command)
and 'do script' (which is specific to certain applications - and may mean
something different depending on which application is involved).

Although the 'do script' command shouldn't compile outside an appropriate
tell block anyway, this distinction might help you realise (with slightly
less head-scratching) exactly *why* it doesn't. :-)
