Right. It was "reported" by someone else on the Script Debugger mailing list
in the first few days of Script Editor 1.9. As I don't use Script Editor (or
at least not 1.9) I've just been passing that on without thoroughly checking
it out. So what's the "compiled script" item higher up the Format popup
doing there? Nothing?

Now, you say that existing resource-fork scripts re-compiled and re-saved in
SE 1.9 as "Compiled Scripts" remain resource-fork scripts? Interesting -
there were a number of complaints in the early days of SE 1.9 from people
trying to run scripts saved in SE 1.9 in the Entourage Script Menu, which at
that time looked only in the resource fork. I could have sworn that a few
were concerning re-saved scripts but perhaps not - maybe it only affected
new scripts. In any case, for anyone wondering what to do about that, just
update Office v. X with the Office 10.1.2 Updater available at the MacTopia
website. Among other fixes, it updates the Entourage script menu to run data
Fork as well as Resource Fork compiled scripts.
