I suppose he got disappointed the moment you announced that he would not be
able to script after the hour-and-15-minutes talk, and did not get less
disappointed when that turned out to be accurate. There's nothing much you
can do about that. If I recall correctly, you even had some such disclaimer
in the description of your talk in the MacWorld program, no? If people don't
read the program descriptions, they're bound to be disappointed. So perhaps
David should include a similar disclaimer in the announcement of his talk
(and can only hope people read it).
