Text item delimiters can be assigned in a list (though AppleScript itself only uses the first member of the list, though it reports that it has the others as text item delimiters).

This is what makes learning AppleScript so much fun (NOT!) -- it supposedly allows coding in English, but the grammar is wrong. Until now, I *assumed* multiple delimiters could be set -- the last time I checked, "delimiters" was plural!

Worse, why does it confuse the issue even more by reporting all of the delimiters if it only uses one?

You've just saved me hours of future debugging. Oh well, count the day lost you don't learn something. With AppleScript, I'm set for life. :-)
