Yes, but it contains all the meaningful digits, and you can go up to
terabytes yet getting the accurate size.
No one has seconded me when I complained about not being able to make
a double integer (which may be what you need, particularly if you
intend to use "read" with the file), maybe we should complain
synchronously ...
