Has anyone ever tried to populate an AOL for OS X address book with

This issue is related to problems that some people are encountering
when attempting to upgrade to AOL X from earlier versions. It seems
that AOL stores the newer address book on its server as well as on the
member's hard drive. The file format of the new address book is also
different from the earlier one. It is more like the OS X Address Book,
but does not appear to respect the .vcf standard.
The scripting dictionary for the AOL application is somewhat obscure
and I have never seen any scripts for it.
Thanks in advance for any clues on this.

John,
You can find an example here.

Be advised that some (lots actually) of AOL's scripting has been broken
in OS X due to relocation of some of its resources. I've noted in the
various examples whether or not they will still work in OS X. Should
you run into any cases I've missed please advise me so I may report
them. I'm not certain if I've tested this particular example or not but
I believe I have.
If my posted example address book script doesn't give you enough to
accomplish what you want then contact me directly and I'll expand on it.
