An application can define it how it wants, I guess. Smile - which Emmanuel
is using - defines it to run a string script, just like 'run script' in
Standard Additions does, but without the minimal overhead of calling an osax
command.
'run script' will also run a script applet whose file path is given. I'm not
sure if Smile's 'do script' does that too, but probably.
Yes. Smile's do script is to be used rather than 'run script' when
you do want the result as a string.
