Bill Fancher, a former denizen of this list, had developed code which
provided OSA support for Python and linked it to AppleScript. He became
discouraged when no one there or here seemed much interested. I don't know
the current state of affairs except that some contributors to the MacPython
mailing list are becoming very interested in this. And there is already some
device made by Bill Bumgarner which gives Python direct access into Cocoa
and can be used in combination with AppleScript Studio. Things are moving.
