I've always used Nisus and can't see why you need to use Word at all,
though you do need, of course, to learn Nisus "scripting". The great
thing about the new Nisus is that it will work with Unicode, which
Word will probably not for a long time, and that I think they plan to
have a bit more than 'do script' in the AE dictionary of the Cocoa
version.
Because in the real world you need Word.
JD and I live in the "unreal world". :-)
Not a translation, not a filter, but Word. Your like or dislike of
it does not apply. To do real business, at some point, you will need
word.
I've used nothing but FrameMaker for a decade (and Alpha as a text
editor). Everything from a one page letter to 2500 page programming
manuals for telecom hardware. I've opened lots of Weird files in
Frame, but never had to create anything in it. I once sinned and
after writing an article in FrameMaker, copied and pasted the text
quickly into a Weird doc, saved it, mailed it, and quickly went to
wash my hands.
