I am hoping one of you have come across this before.

Every time I try to "Open Dictionary" it crashes Script Editor.

If I try to "Open Dictionary" from AppleScript Studio it gives me an error
and will not open the dictionary.

Anyone have any idea what is causing this. I am completely clueless?

OSX 10.2.5
Script Editor 1.9

I had terrible problems with this yesterday using the beta Script Editor.app and Smile. Whenever I attempted to get dictionaries they just gave me the everlasting beachball and I had to force-quit. I couldn't work it out until I finally shut down and discovered the cause was that I also had Script Editor 1.8.3 running in Classic.

Chances are your problem is different, but I though it worth mentioning. I also find that if I keep ResEdit running long enough in Classic while I get on with other things in OS 10, sooner or later MacsBug pops up and I usually have to force-quit Classic.

I don't use 1.9, just Smile and the beta.
