You won't need it at all if you get the latest Eudora. I was using a 3rd party spam service until junk filtering was introduced about 5 weeks ago and it's working so well that I haven't gone back.

What's New in Eudora 6.0

Spam-Fighting Tools. A whole suite of ready-to-use tools to stamp out unwanted junk mail. Right out of the box, most junk mail will be quarantined by SpamWatch, whose large dictionary of words can be simply added to by the user.
