Yes, because the resources simply aren't there. All osacompile does
is write the 'scpt' resource, so it looks OK and the script is OK but
it's not executable even though it pretends to be.
Oh, no, that wasn't it at all. I *can* make osacompile create serviceable
scripts. Your syntax was just fubar'd is all
Right. John C. Welch is able to create a serviceable DROPLET (_this_
was the problem -- anyone can create a compiled script) using
osacompile.
Post the script here, Sir, so we we can all see how unfubared you are
this evening.
