What do you mean by "handled"? AppleScript can have lists of infinite number
of items - no restriction. The restriction is only in making a list via
'text items', 'paragraphs', 'words', or 'characters' of a string. Chris
Nebel has told us that there is no such restriction when for Unicode text as
there is for string. (If using 'text items', I'd advise that you specify the
text item delimiter 'as Unicode text', too. it shouldn't be necessary, but
some earlier OS versions at least could crash without that.)
