John,

I am very grateful to you. I will of course need to read more in the texts
you suggest. A couple of things if you don't mind: I am on OSX but can't put
Jon's commands in the Additonal Script folder under Library because it won't
allow me.

I tried your script which looks absolutely just what I need! thanks. I put
folders on the desktop named just as you described in your script and filled
them with trial jpgs.
I do still have the hang-up with the deleteimage line under
"moveFile deleteimage to c". I tried removing the word "deleteimage" and low
and behold the syntax worked. The script ran and allowed me to select the
folders to work with, which was exciting, but (obviously I guess) it ran
right up to the last line with an error. I also took your "path" suggestion
literally and tried to put "Macintosh HD/users/hans/desktop/out_takes
folder" in there but couldn't get the syntax to accept that. I know I am
misinterpreting. Sorry, but much appreciated for your help.

Hans
