I tried running the compiled application on a different system
(10.2.5)
but got the same error.
There's something wrong in your actual script, I'd guess. Does it run
OK
from Script Editor? Does it run OK saved as a regular (not run-only)
application?
It runs fine from SE, and as a regular application.
I will install 10.2 on an external disk and se if the problem goes away.
