I don't think so. That's a known bug - you can't get or make links to a file
as you can in the UI, only links to other Entourage objects. That's due to
be fixed in a later release. Attachments have been around as scriptable
objects since OE 4. I'm still getting 'properties' OK, but I'll try
replicating with 'encoding' first as you're doing, on various attachments.
