Problems Running Applescripts

  • Subject: Problems Running Applescripts

Hello,

I've had this problem since about the time that 10.2.5 came out. None of my Applescripts run any more. I click on the script (from the finder, in the script menu, from an app) and nothing happens.

I try to open a script for editing (to make sure it is OK), and the script never opens. Script Editor (2.0) opens, but the script itself won't. To me, it looks like my system is no longer responding to "tell" blocks any more.

My computer is a Pismo G3 500, 1GB RAM, about 400MB free on the primary (system) partition. I am running OS X, 10.2.6. This problems seems to happen with all applications. I try to run scripts from the Script Menu, nothing happens.

I'm not sure how to diagnose or repair this. Are there pref files that I can trash? Anything?

Help from all corners accepted and appreciated.

Ken Scott
