If you mean that you want the Macs to use the NT network services (including
printers and such) then you can enable Macintosh Services inside NT.
(I do not recall the exact name of the control panel's checkbox item, but I
know it from NT, so it's there. I also know a slap-happy Mac graphic
artist, so desired by a local company, that they set him up an all-Mac work
station and printer, all connected to their main NT-managed network. The
time to achieve the unpack of Mac boxes and connect to the network: 50
minutes. The company's network administrator was, according to said graphic
artist, completely amazed and didn't stop talking about it for a week.)

Jesse, from where I type, it's not entirely clear what you wish
_AppleScript_ to do for you. It's also not clear that you have an
understanding of what AppleScript is (based on "...whether or not you can
use variables...")
AS is a programming language, so yes, you can use variables.
You can write programs (scripts) to do most anything, practically, and lots
of things impractically. (Or maybe that's just my scripts... ;-)
Rather than tilt at what you might wish to do, I'll just say that I don't
think you've described "the problem" with enough clarity to get much useful
feedback. Lest, of course, Ms. Cleo is a member of list, in which case she
may know just what you need. :)
Write again with more details. Network type? Server type? Authentication
scheme? And so on...
