OK, you rejected Wall Street and independent tracking numbers. So assuming

or not in a sustainable way in a given market sector?
Yes...are they doing the things that companies which are sucessful over the
long run do?
1) Are they doing a decent job of servicing their customers.
While you get one hundred different answers from one hundred
different people, the answer looks far closer to yes than no.
2) Are they taking the steps to work on corporate growth over the long
term, not doing stupid things to look good next quarter? Yes.
3) Are they coming up with new ways to use their strengths to make money?
Definitely
4) Are they innovating so that they don't stagnate? Without a doubt.
Stock prices don't mean a company is successful. It just means that analysts
like the company. Avon for years was a successful company with a flat stock.
You wouldn't lose your shirt, but you wouldn't make a boatload of cash from
the stock.
Apple is doing the correct things to make sure that they are going to be
here for many years to come, not just next quarter. So, like any company
that doesn't kowtow to the analysts, their stock is in the terlit.
