Many thanks in advance!
Since applications have their own print options (some have a Print One Page,
some have other things) and you wish the solution to be useful for _any_
application, and since the idea of quick print of a single page suggests
quick reference and not high-quality output, perhaps a screen
snap-to-printer option is the most "universal".
Screen Snapz Pro, which I use, has a Send to printer option. But the
general Mac screen snap options could also (I think) be invoked in some
scriptable way (even if only with a GUI-manipulation approach with KQ or
OSX-GUI scripting).
I can even generally envision a script that at least made a clipping file
with a PICT resource, had the Finder open it and then use the print window
command.
It does seem possible to find some way to get some universal-ish script out
of that approach.
Just one idea...HTH
