Just an FYI that I have had several clients experiencing problems
running AppleScripts with FileVault enabled. Disabling it fixed their
problems immediately.

When I had FileVault turned on i could not use applescript to access
any of the files in my home directory. Any alias or string datatype
just failed when as tried to coerce it to a file pointer.
Anyone with the new cat able to reproduce this?
There are lots of problems being reported (MacInTouch; MacFixIt) with
File
Vault. Lost Finder preferences and others.
I'm leaving File Vault off until we get past the initial release.
(And maybe longer...I stash a few particularly sensitive things in a
PGP
Disk and others in the program Little Secrets (and I export the data
from
Little Secrets into the PGP Disk volume now and then). Before
upgrading to
Panther, I dumped the Little Secrets file into an unprotected space,
just in
case.)
