mmmh, sounds great, didn't know about the AS concept of *properties*. found
some info about this on
http://www.macobserver.com/tips/applescript/2002/20020529.shtml. will try
it! (*)

It's possible, but I'd really not recommend it, at the cost of completely

well, i just though system preferences pane would be UI-wise a good place (i
guess the best place for props for an itunes script would be the _itunes_
preferences pane.
but do you mean by "cost of completely screwing up your system". is hookin
in the system prefs dangerous? i guess so.

What *is* this script, anyway??
just a little fader. fades the volume in and out before play/pause. if bound
to a key (eg. F16) it provides a smooth mute alternative. i'd like to have
the _fading speed_ as a editable property.
cheers, leo

(*) i really need a good applescript book! (waiting for the new o'reilley
one...)
(**) when the script is a bit more complete, i'll send it to doug's itunes
site.
