At 04:33p -0500 11/07/2003, Marc K. Myers didst inscribe upon an electronic papyrus:

Classic and OS X (10.2.8) don't seem to recognize each other's clipboards. This is very inconvenient. Is there a way to use AppleScript to transfer cut or copied data from one to the other? I've scripted Tex-Edit plus to transfer text but I'd like to be able to handle application-specific and graphic selections.

If I understand it correctly, this is more a Cocoa vs. Carbon issue than a Classic vs. OS X issue; the pasteboard types that can be translated are hardcoded into the OS, so if there are any types you need converted between Cocoa and Carbon that are not converted, you send a bug report to Apple to request the particular types.

The reason you can use Tex-Edit Plus is that it is Carbon, and thus no conversion is necessary.
