Dear All
Along last months I have sent several questions to the list asking for
solutions to problems in apps compiled for classic, when AppleScripts
are part of they.
I use the Spanish version of system 9.
PROBLEM: version 9.2.1 has the 1.6 AppleScript version that runs well.
But version 9.2.2 installs the 1.8 AppleScript version that does not
work at all.
If I install the 9.2.1 version of the OS and start my Mac from it,
scripts work fine, and also the Script Editor.
But if I starts from Jaguar, when classic is called, the Jaguar OS
installs (updates) some extensions of the 9.2.1 changing them for the
corresponding of the 9.2.2. AppleScript 1.8 is then installed, and
classic apps with scripts do not function, nor the classic Script
Editor.
This is a great problem. I unknow if only the Spanish version of System
9.2.2 is affected.
If someone knows a way to communicate the bug to Apple please let me
know.
I hope this information can help other people with the same problem I
am having.
Saludos,
Pelayo
