Scripting works well in InDesign. However, error reporting sucks. Favoritism was given to functionality in the development & QA time poker chip games, at the expense of sensible error messages. We can certainly attempt to fix egregious errors when they are reported. Reporting them on the InDesign scripting list where Alan can see them and write them up is the most likely method to succeed at this time. ;)

Of course, Peter watches this list too, so anything could happen.
