Script Editor self starting

  • Subject: Script Editor self starting

Hi,

I asked this once before and got no response. Can't believe I'm the only one with this problem.

Script Editor seems to startup all by its self and opening a blank window. If I close the window it will just open another. If I tell it to hide the window then it reopens with one more blank window. If I go to another application then close that with Command+Option down then the Script Editor opens as before with yet another blank window.

Surely there's a solution for this behavior. The only cure I've found so far is to remove the Script Editor. But I think that's needed so I can control the format of Smile windows.

I looked at the Script Editor preferences and couldn't find a way to open without a new window.

TIA,
