Connect to server question

I'm new to the list and did not see my original posting on this
question from yesterday and thought I would try again.
I am just beginning my journey into the world of Applescript and need
a little advice. I used to do some development work in HyperCard and
understand some of the syntax as I look through some sample scripts.
What I need to script now, before I learn more, is a simple solution
to drop in the "Login Items" in OS 10.2.6 to automatically connect to
another specific network Mac.
So far I have
tell application "Finder"
open location (whatever the address is)
I stumble when it comes time to enter the password and click
"Connect" and "OK" in the resulting dialog box.
Any help is appreciated before I am able to delve deeper into reading
for myself.
