The Satimage osax, distributed separately or with the Smile script editor,
has a very advanced RegEx implementation. Then there's the true original:
'grep' via 'do shell script' command in Standard Additions, which all Macs
come with built in.

If you get Stuffit Deluxe you'll find a very full dictionary - I think it's
better than Stuffit Commands ever was. Of course, it's not free. But then,
neither is Acme Widgets and (virtually?) everything Acme does can be done in
plain AppleScript or with other, free, osaxen, last time I checked.
