That's available from the app's internal plist, if you want to go diving for it. the 'application file' property of the 'application process' will give you to the path.

Or a Classic app with no plist of any kind.

I agree with any suggestions to add any and all properties and functions of every application to the scripted world. I would even like to see Apple make every app created with xCode be fully scriptable via checckbox, and factored and extensible checkboxes would be acceptable to me too. I just refuse to climb aboard the 'Apple hasn't scripted myPersonalInterest yet! rant...rant...rant' bandwagon. If I feel inclined to, there'll be another one along shortly.
