I work for the advertising dept at a large retail company. I support a user

make a case to keep the Macs. I was wondering if any of you have had to do
this in the past and if so do you have any good sources/case studies which I
can refer to in my report? I need things like ROI comparison as well as any
productivity/ease of use studies etc. Any help would be invaluable.

I've never got the original message, so I am taking a ride on Ben's message.

On top of some of the numbers already posted, there are some important factors, that I have not seen mentioned; security and "contamination" .
Security is security, however, so the argument does not sound like a "Mac X PC" argument, you can use the following article:

"CyberInsecurity: The cost of monopoly
subtitle: How the dominance of Microsoft's Product poses a risk to security"

Document written by a bunch of experts for Computer & Communications Industry Association (CCIA).
if you want I can send you a copy or you can get it from the CCIA site
http://www.ccianet.org/

Although the document mentions contamination, it is always good to point out the down time from a virus infection, worm or what have you. And the money for the anti-virus software. I remember reading somewhere that the most popular software packages for windows were related to security and virus contamination.
