Interesting. Can something like this be used to obtain the path to an "alias file" dropped onto an AppleScript APPL? I need the path to the alias not the file pointed to. Something like the "Use alias instead of original" selector in ResEdit's open_file dialog.

I gave up on that a while ago but perhaps it was premature.
