Well on some machines I have a hand in looking after I check "path to preferences, if the script is running from
inside OSX the path ends with "Library:Preferences:" If the script is running from an OS9 launch the path is different. I use this to launch certain applications on startup if the machine is booted in 9 (rather than classic running in X).
