I've been struggling with a similar problem (under Panther), although the code compiles fine for me, the result returned from the "call soap" is always empty. Worked fine under Jaguar. I've tried Apple's "Currency Converter SOAP" example and that works fine but trying to parse XML results is problematic. As an example, I've tried running Jonathan Nathan's "Get Artwork from Amazon" script (http://homepage.mac.com/jonn8/as/html/Get_Artwork_from_Amazon.html) and that also fails.

Any help on this would be much appreciated (Jonathan... are you there?!)

DP

I just tried to run some of my scripts that make SOAP calls under Panther. They all failed. When I tried to compile my core SOAP script, the line that stated "set this_result to call soap" errored out with a syntax error: "Expected end of line but found identifier."

I couldn't find anything in the documentation that stated that the method for making SOAP calls has changed. Is anyone aware of something that might have broken this functionality?

Thanks
Tim
