It's being replaced/rewritten. The Finder takes its usual moments to update
the view, and that's the hiccup you're seeing. All I care is that you don't
get an error such as "There is already a file of that name - do you want to
replace it?" or worse, "Outlook Express got an error: cant save <<class
xxxx>> in long:file:path:here". It's doing what I hoped. There is no need to
save the older file and thankfully no need to give the new copy its own
incrementing name, which can be a lot of bother. Thanks from reporting back
from the depths of OS 9.
