It's an OS X only machine running 10.2.6 and Palm Desktop 4.1.
Aha... so maybe they messed up 4.1 somehow.
When I tried it, the script worked on various development versions of
Palm Desktop, which had been built on that volume (as opposed to being
installed via the installer), but returned only the package folder for
the copy of 4.1 installed in my Applications folder. I tried a few
different things and it started working for that copy, too. I suspect
the solution is simply to copy the application package to guarantee
that Launch Services is up to date. Please let me know if this doesn't
solve the problem.
Just use Finder's Duplicate command on Palm Desktop, then try running
the script.
