text to speech OSAX?

  • Subject: text to speech OSAX?

Hi folks,

I was convinced that I saw an OSAX (for OS9) that would feed a string to
the speech synthesiser and write the result to an AIFF file, but now I can
only find Apple's own 'say' (in standard additions) and Late night
software's 'Speech'. Neither of these will output files.

Was I imagining it?

I know there are little apps for these tasks such as 'text to speech' but
I need automation for this job.

Brennan
