Using PreFab UI Browser's Generate AppleScript menu, you will discover that
it refuses to generate a script to obtain the value of the document
attribute of the front window of any application. That menu item is dimmed.
This is UI Browser's way of telling you that you can't currently do this
using GUI Scripting.
My advice: wait for an upcoming release of Mac OS X.
