directing files using PDF Services

  • Subject: directing files using PDF Services

I am working on a way to have PDF Services drop files on a SMB shared folder... for now I just have an alias to the folder, but this has two problems: Windows systems can not handle many characters Macs can, so some files names do not get sent, and, if the keychain is not set correctly, it asks for a password (thought there is none for that share).

I have been able to make a script that accepts a file name and changes all Win-unfriendly characters to an underscore, but am having trouble getting the SMB share to open and then being able to have the script drop the file there. Any idea?

As always, greatly appreciate the time and effort the gurus in here spend to help folks like me. :)
